Recognise your impact and confidently own the value you bring

Do you downplay your achievements?

When someone compliments your work, do you simply say thank you, or immediately explain why it wasn’t really a big deal?

So many of us minimise what we’ve achieved with phrases like “It was a team effort,” “I was just doing my job,” or “I got lucky.”

In this short video, I explore why recognising your achievements isn’t arrogance. It’s about acknowledging the contribution you genuinely made and understanding your impact.

One simple coaching tool is to keep an achievement record - noting what you’ve delivered, problems you’ve solved, positive feedback you’ve received and the difference you’ve made.

So, what’s one thing you’re genuinely proud of?

And can you resist adding a “but…” afterwards?

Just own it.
