Make Your Value Visible and Your Contribution Count
Doing great work and hoping someone notices? That might not be enough.
You can be brilliant at your job, work incredibly hard and deliver great results, but if people don’t understand what you’re contributing, you can still be overlooked.
In this short video, I explore why visibility at work isn’t about shouting the loudest or showing off.
It’s about helping people understand where and how you add value.
That could mean:
sharing project updates, talking about outcomes rather than just activity, contributing your ideas in meetings, and being comfortable explaining the role you played when something goes well.
Because opportunities often go to people whose skills and contribution are understood - not simply those working hardest behind the scenes.
So ask yourself:
If someone senior asked what value I’ve added recently, could I answer confidently?
If not, that’s a great place to start.
