Own your achievements | Build your confidence | Be remarkable
How comfortable are you talking about what you have achieved?
For many of us, recognising other people's successes comes naturally. Talking about our own can feel very different. We worry about sounding boastful, taking too much credit or drawing attention to ourselves - so our achievements, skills and contributions can easily go unnoticed.
#IAmRemarkable is a global movement that empowers people to recognise, celebrate and speak openly about their achievements in the workplace and beyond.
As a trained #IAmRemarkable Facilitator, Rachel delivers this interactive 90-minute workshop to help people challenge some of the beliefs that can hold them back, become more comfortable with self-promotion and develop the confidence to make their contribution more visible.
It isn't bragging if it's based on facts
Self-promotion doesn't have to mean shouting the loudest or making yourself the centre of attention.
It is about being able to talk confidently and factually about what you have achieved, the value you have created and the contribution you make.
Yet many of us have been conditioned to downplay our successes. We might say “it was nothing”, immediately credit everyone else, dismiss something as “just part of my job” or wait for somebody else to notice the work we are doing.
During #IAmRemarkable, we explore why self-promotion can feel uncomfortable, the role that bias and social expectations can play, and why being able to articulate your achievements is an important personal and professional skill.

What happens during an #IAmRemarkable Workshop?
This is an interactive workshop rather than a presentation, creating space for reflection, conversation and practical application.
Over 90 minutes, participants will:
Explore some of the research and thinking around self-promotion and bias
Reflect on their own relationship with achievement and self-promotion
Identify achievements they may previously have overlooked or minimised
Practise articulating their accomplishments
Challenge some of the beliefs that can make talking about success feel uncomfortable
Develop practical ways to make their contribution more visible
Leave with exercises and ideas they can continue using after the workshop
There is no expectation to arrive with a perfectly prepared list of achievements. In fact, discovering just how much you have achieved is an important part of the experience.
Who is #IAmRemarkable for?
Everyone!
While conversations around self-promotion are particularly important when considering the barriers experienced by women and other underrepresented groups, being able to recognise and communicate your achievements is a valuable skill for people at every stage of their career.
The workshop can be particularly powerful for:
Employees at all levels
Emerging and established leaders
People experiencing a lack of confidence or self-belief
Teams focused on career and personal development
Employee networks and inclusion groups
People preparing for promotion or career progression
Anyone who finds talking about their achievements uncomfortable
You don't need to consider yourself particularly confident - or particularly unconfident - to benefit. You just need to be willing to reflect, participate and perhaps look at your achievements a little differently.
Why bring #IAmRemarkable into your organisation?
How achievements are recognised and talked about can have a real influence on workplace culture.
When people are better able to recognise their own contribution, they can become more confident about participating in career conversations, performance discussions, networking, interviews and opportunities for progression.
The workshop also creates an opportunity for teams to think more broadly about recognition, visibility and bias - including whose achievements are noticed, whose voices are heard and how we can encourage others to celebrate their successes too.
It isn't simply about becoming better at saying “look what I did.”
It's about creating an environment where people feel able to say “this is what I contributed, this is the difference I made, and I'm proud of it.”
